Tokyo Police Club slowed down a bit in the aftermath of their 2018 album TPC, and after that singer Dave Monks put out two solo albums, and now the band is officially calling it quits. They’ve announced a farewell show, happening in their hometown of Toronto, on November 29 at History. Tickets go on sale Friday (1/26) at 10 AM with an artist presale starting Wednesday (1/24) at 10 AM (password = TPC4EVER). The band says on social media:
it’s time for TPC to say farewell. to everything there is a season, and for us the time is right to finally put the van in park (this is a metaphor, our actual van stopped working a long time ago). it has been one hell of a ride and we will be reflecting on it big time all year long – leading up to ONE LAST SHOW: november 29th at HISTORY in toronto. […] thank you all from the bottom of our collective heart for listening -dave graham greg and josh (tokyo police club)
They also added, via press release, that they “have a few more things up our sleeve before we go,” so stay tuned to find out about that.
